This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for 3 different Fw-190A's.

The first aircraft is a Fw-190 A-8 flown by Oberstleutnant Josef "Prips" Priller with Stab/JG 26 in France on June 6 1944.  The paint scheme is overall light blue RLM 76 on the fuselage sides and bottom.  There is light grey mottling on the side of the fuselage and tail with darker grey on top.  On the rear fuselage and a black #13 on the side of the fuselage.  The top rear of the fuselage is green RLM 74 as well as the forward top of the engine cowling and the topside area around the canopy.  There is also a yellow RLM 04 panel under the engine and the rudder on the tail.  Artwork on the side of the fuselage below the canopy is a white playing card with a big red heart with the name Julia.  This was the aircraft that was famous for flying over the D-Day beaches in the early hours of the June 6 1944 landings and as far as I know this was the only Luftwaffe plane that got into the air above the beaches on that historic day.

The second aircraft is a Fw-190 A-8/R2 flown by Unteroffizier Paul Lixfeldt with 6./JG 300 from Lobnitz, Germany in Nov 1944.  The paint scheme is light blue RLM 76 on the underside and sides of the tail.

There is a red theatre band on the rear fuselage and a yellow 12 on the side of the rear fuselage.  The top of the fuselage is grey RLM 75 as well as the forward top of the engine cowling and the topside area around the canopy is green RLM 74.  There is also a yellow RLM 04 panel under the engine and the forward engine cowling ring and the rudder on the tail.  There is a white spiral on the prop spinner.  There are white splotches on the side of the fuselage.....no doubt part of a winter camo scheme.  The artwork on the side of the engine cowling is  a wild boars head on a white shield.  On the side of the fuselage under the canopy is the yellow script that reads "Muschi".

The third aircraft is a Fw-190 A-6 flown by Adolf Galland, General der Jagdflieger in the fall of 1943.  The paint scheme is overall light blue RLM 76 on the fuselage sides and bottom.  There is a white 2 on the side of the rear fuselage.  The top rear of the fuselage is grey RLM 75 as well as the forward top of the engine cowling and the topside area around the canopy is green RLM 74.  There is also a yellow RLM 04 panel under the engine.  There is a black panel on the side of the fuselage by the engine exhausts.

The instructions are clear and include colour drawings to assist in decal placement.  There is a page of text including information about one of the aircraft and 3 view line drawings showing stencil placement.  Stencils are included on the decal sheet for 1 aircraft.

A very nice decal sheet and will be helpful for anyone wanting to build one of the truly historic Fw-190A in 1/32 scale.
