This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/48 P-47 Thunderbolts with sexy noseart.

The first aircraft is a P-47D-5-RE "WR U" Razorback with 355 FG/354 FS flown by Maj Henry B. Kucheman from Steeple Morden, England in late of 1943.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is the early olive drab scheme with olive drab on top and grey on the underside.  There is a while engine cowl ring on the front of the engine cowling and a white stripe going across the tail.  The nose art is a sexy nude red headed angel with red text that reads "MissBehave".  There is also white text further back on the engine cowling that reads "Lil Lo".  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The second plane is a P-47D-28-RA "UN M" was flown  out of Boxted, England in 1944.  This Jug is baremetal  with D-Day stripes on the underside of the rear fuselage as well as black stripes on the top and bottom  of the horizontal tail surfaces.  This P-47 has olive drab on the anti-glare panel on the top side of the fuselage fore and aft of the canopy as well as around the forward engine cowl.  The noseart is a cute blonde on the side of the forward engine cowling.  The forward engine cowling ring is red. The artwork of this aircraft has white decals to go underneath the noseart decal.  The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.  Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.
The instructions are clear and include views of each aircraft and an extra 2 pages of text instructions and one of line drawing showing decal placement is included with a small bit of info about both the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.
