Hi, this is my
Airfix 1.48 scale Lightning F6 from RAF Brinbrook in the mid 80s. The only
addition was a resin seat from Airwaves.

The kit was a pleasure to
build and captures the brute good looks of an iconic 60s cold war warrior.
I used Humbrol enamels throughout and used the preshading technique sprayed
with a Badger 200 NH.
I weathered the
airframe with black and grey pastels chalks, everything was sealed under a 50/50
mix of matt and semi gloss varnish this gave a good scale finish (to my eyes at
least). If you have this kit in your stash ,build it you will not be
disappointed.
