Here are some photos
of my P-39N Airacobra.
I used the Eduard
kit in 1/48th scale. Decals are from the box and I used lifecolor acrylics
paints and a matt varnish from model maser.

The model depicts a
P-39N assigned to Grigorii Ustinovich Dolnikov (he was an ace with 15
kills). He was assigned to the 100th GIAP, based in Germany on May 1945.
This aircraft was first assigned to the twice hero of Soviet Union, Ivan Babak .
When Babak was given command of 16th GIAP in February 1945, his aircraft was
inherited by Dolnikov. On the right side the inscription says :for Petya
Guchyak (Guchyak was an ace who was shot down on 18 April 1945). On the left
side the inscription says : for Vanya Babak ( in memory of Ivan Babak who was
shot down on 22 April 1945).
