Here is my 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf110 G4/R3 from Revell. The scheme I chose is from the CED48045 decal sheet “Bf 110G Part 1” from Cutting Edge. This aircraft was assigned to 4/NJG3, Norway and carried a FuG 220 SN-2b radar.
It is a very detailed kit, although I found some annoying fit flaws that required some extra time to be fixed; in my opinion, the cockpit is so detailed that it doesn’t require any after-market set. Thus, I built this complex kit just out of the box, except for: CE decals, Eduard photo etched seatbelts, scratch built blind-landing antenna made from styrene and wire, scratch built windscreen-washer pipe made from wire.
Also,
guns and exhaust dampers were hollowed out and two styrene stripes were
applied to try matching the SN-2b radar array: maybe not perfect, but
better than nothing! The camouflage scheme is a typical RLM 74/75/76 on upper surfaces, 75/70 mottling on fuselage sides and some RLM 70 heavy mottling on both the vertical tails. Photos were taken with a Panasonic digital camera. Emanuele Pravatà |
